The Magic of Haute Couture

Fashion is associated with the wide variety of clothes and accessories that we see all around us on a daily basis. The word itself sparks thoughts about the latest trends and most sought-after pieces. However, this intense focus on street fashion can make us forget the branch of fashion which tends to transcend the sphere of ordinary life. You all know what I am referring to: the magical world of haute couture. It is the place where fashion and art become one; where designers express themselves in unthinkable ways; and where the only limit is one's own imagination.

Artistic pieces have been generated in the world of fashion for centuries and started even before the English couturier Charles Frederick Worth, in 1858, established the first haute couture house in Paris.

Today, the biggest names in fashion are continuing to impress with their extravagant designs. Given the move towards more liberal and diverse societies we can today see what those before us could not even dream about. So take a break from the reading and delve into the world of Autumn/Winter 2016 Couture.
